Whimsical Wednesday Challenge ~~ Textiles

I'm back with my second Design Team post for today.  Please scroll down to see my really cute card for the SOUS Card Sketch Challenge.  

This week's challenge at Whimsical Wednesday is TEXTILES!  I guess I got a little ADD while working on my card and almost forgot the challenge.  Yikes!  But I have the cutest little crocheted flowers and that's as close to textile as I could get.   I'm sure the other Whimsies have some drop-dead gorgeous textile rockin' their projects.  I can't wait to hop on over to Whimsical Designs to see what they've made!

I have to say that I am SO HAPPY with how my card turned out.  I always struggle with flower selection and placement, so I tend to just avoid it altogether.  I think this is a great accomplishment for me and I am going to pat myself on the back :)

Coloring is also something that I struggle with and again, I'm fairly pleased with my Copic coloring of Sweetheart Marci.  She is a lovely rubber stamp by La La Land Crafts.

I matted Marci on a Reversed Wonky Rectangle Nestability die.  I also cut a piece of craft foam using the smaller Nestie to place between the two Nestie layers.  I used glitter paper for the larger layer.  

The polka-dotted paper is embossed with a tiny hearts folder that comes with the Cuttlebug Love Language set.

I used a couple of Marianne's Designs die flourishes behind the beautiful flowers by I Am Roses.  The pretty little crocheted flowers are also from I Am Roses.

I used Martha Stewart Micro beads on the hearts.  I just used a Martha Stewart glue pen and poured on the beads before the glue dried.  I made pom-poms for her ponytails using Tulip puffy paint.
