Going Green with Whimsical Wednesday

Hey bloggers!  Long time, no see!  This is my second post of the day.  Well, actually, it's my second post of the morning.  I'd love you to see my cute little sheep card that I made for the SOUS card sketch challenge, so please scroll down to the previous post...THANKS!

The Whimsies are back with another fun challenge for Whimsical Wednesday.  This week, we are going green and we are also featuring digi images from A Day For Daisies.   I chose the image 40's Apron Ad.  I printed it out and used a Nestabilities Reverse Wonky Rectangle die to cut her out.  I created the sentiment in my word program and printed it out on plain paper.  Normally, I would have to play around with the font size and text format/layout, to get it where I need to be, but this one worked out perfectly on my first try.  I place the paper with the printed text over the cut out image to make sure the text will fit in the blank space next to the image.  That's where I usually will have to tweak it, to get it to fit.  Then I used a removable, double-sided tape and place the image over the text on the paper and hold it up to the light to make sure it's lined up correctly.  Put the paper back in the printer and reprint the text, just as you did the first time.  I hope this all makes sense.  

The smaller sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments set by Whimsical Designs.  The word bubble is a large EK Success punch.  And, since we are Going Green, I used a green ink pad and added Distress Stickles in Peeled Paint around the edges.  

The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Checkerboard folder.  The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

This is the stamp set that I used for my word bubble sentiment.  Isn't is cute?  I really like all of the different fonts and the sentiments are quite versatile and can be used on so many different types of projects for almost any occasion.
