Owl Valentine ~ SOUS Card Sketch

Happy, Happy Wednesday!  Time once again for another Stuck On U Sketches card sketch callenge!   The Design Team has created some amazing cards using an original sketch by Nanne.  I'm quite pleased with how this turned out and found this a very easy sketch to work with.  I tend to over-think sketches sometimes which gets me all frazzled, but this one was nothing but fun.  The owl is a rubber stamp.  I used clear ink and then sprinkled with one of my favorite embossing powders by Stampendous.  This color is called Red Dragon....it's sparkles with gold and red.  Cut the owl out on a circle Nestie and did some faux stitching, then mounted on a scalloped Nestie.  The flowers are a Martha Stewart punch and I added big sliver bling to the centers.  The sentiment was done with one of those itsy bits wood mounted alpha sets.  I picked up a bunch of these sets at Michael's over the past few years.  You can find them in the Dollar Bin.  The set I used is from Studio G.   The tag is from a Just Rite Custom Dies set called Vintage Labels & Banner Dies.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set for the border.  This one is called Scallop 3 Dot.  The white circle and tag are popped with foam dots.  I added a few puffy hearts and called it done.  There's so much more inspiration by the rest of the Design Team, over at SOUS.  Just click HERE to visit the blog and see what we each came up with for this pretty card sketch.  This is such a fun sketch....c'mon, you know you want to play along!
