LOVE Banner

IT'S WEDNESDAY!!!  And for me and the Design Team over at Whimsical Designs, that can only mean one thing....time for another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge!  From what Stephanie has hinted to us, there is a fabulous line-up of projects today....seems we all steered away from cards and have created some wonderful 3-D projects.  I can't wait to see what everyone has made!  Our challenge this week is "All About Love".   After much frustration with two different cards, I threw in the towel and went with this cute LOVE banner.  You've really got to look at the close-up photos to appreciate the details.

CRICUT:

The banner squares are from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge

The letters are from the Sophie cartridge.

I used Distress Inks on the letters.

After gluing each base cut letter to the shadow cut, I embossed them using the folder that comes with the Cuttlebug Love Language set.  Looks like dots, but they are little tiny hearts. 

The white frame on the squares is embossed with Polka Dots.  

I forgot to mention that the letters are attached to the squares with dimensional foam squares.  It's so hard to capture all the details on larger projects.

The hearts are a die by BossKut.  I've had it for about 5 years, buried in a basket in the back of the craft room.  It's called Eyelet Scalloped Heart.  I cut it out using my Grand Calibur and since I used a thick card stock, I had to poke out the holes with a pick.  They DID cut through, but just didn't pop out so easily.

The sentiment and xoxoxo border are clear stamps from the With Love set by Whimsical Designs.  I curved the xoxoxo on an acrylic block to fit the curves of the heart.  I love how it adds a lacy effect to the heart.
